Kegworth Baptist Church is a group of people, from babies through to aged 90+, meeting together in Kegworth to worship our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are a family friendly church, with a junior church for our younger people.

We seek to be salt and light in our community as it says in Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus tells his disciples, “You are the salt of the earth” and “You are the light of the world.” We seek for our saltiness to flavour our whole community and for our light to shine like a beacon to all of our community.

We are human and like everyone else, often do not achieve Christ’s standards, please forgive us when we fail and please join us and help us to grow closer to Him.

Missionary Support

We are supporting the work of Kate and Matt Linley and family who have been working in Madagascar since 2009, at the Good News Hospital, Mandritsara.

Mat’s work is focused on training local church leaders through residential courses and theological education by extension. He is also the team leader for the team of missionaries in NE Madagascar and is a member of the hospital management committee.

Katy is a GP, busy with seeing outpatients, ward rounds and keeping an eye out for the maternity unit. She is also developing an internship program to provide junior Malagasy doctors with further training and practical experience.

For more about the work in Mandritsara, please see the Friends of Mandritsara website. Church members can read the Linley’s newsletters on the members webpages.

We also support the work of:

  • Operation Agri, a charity which supports rural and urban development in Christ’s name around the world – visit the Operation Agri website
  • BMS World Mission, a charity sharing life in all its fullness with the world’s peoples by enabling them to know Christ, alleviating suffering and injuctice and improving the quality of lives throughout the world.  – visit the BMS World Mission website
  • The Carpenter Arms, Loughborough, a christian rehabilitation centre for men and food bank. Please see the Carpenters Arms website
